Fraiser - Todas las temporadas

El Doctor Frasier Crane es un psiquiatra que presenta un consultorio de radio en la KACL de Seattle. Está divorciado y tiene un hijo que vive con la madre. La productora del programa y amiga de Frasier es Roz Doyle, y, entre otros compañeros de la cadena, están Bulldog Briscoe, presentador de deportes, Gil Chesterton, crítico gastronómico, y el freakie Noel Shempsky.

Tiene un hermano, Niles, que es también psiquiatra e igual de esnob y arrogante -los productores estuvieron a punto de rechazar la serie por este gran parecido entre hermanos, que sin embargo resultó cómico. De él recibe la noticia de que su padre, Martin Crane, ha tenido un accidente en el baño. Tras debatir entre ingresarlo en una residencia o alojarlo en casa de Frasier, finalmente se inclinan por esta última opción. Martin se instala junto con su perro Eddie, que no cae bien a Frasier. Además, Frasier contrata a Daphne Moon como enfermera y fisioterapeuta para su padre. De este modo ve definitivamente perturbada su paz y tranquilidad.

Los principales escenarios en los que se desarrolla la acción son el apartamento de Frasier, la emisora donde trabaja y el Café Nervosa que esta en la calle Pike con la 3ª Avenida, donde suele reunirse con su hermano. Solo en un capítulo emprenden un peregrinaje tortuoso en búsqueda de otra cafetería "habitual", por culpa de un cantantautor que es contratado para actuar en el café y atormenta los oídos de los hermanos Crane, grandes melómanos y amantes de la ópera. Tras el divorcio de Niles, también se desarrolla la acción en su apartamento.

Gran parte del humor de la serie deriva de la búsqueda de Frasier del romance; de los conflictos sociales, especialmente entre los atildados hermanos crane y la "clase obrera" encarnada en Martin y Daphne; también de la pomposidad de Frasier como celebridad menor en la ciudad y su exagerada pedantería.
